Passengers rode buses a record 4,664,881 times in 2007, a 7.2 percent increase over 2006, announced CityBus general manager Martin Sennett today.
Sennett identified several reasons for the growth, including the high cost of gas, CityBus’s convenience and ease of use, and concerns about the environment. A large-cross section of the community rides CityBus, including students, youth, workers, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
