Public hearings scheduled

Due to budget constraints facing CityBus, public hearings have been scheduled to discuss the possible discontinuation of service on route 8 Klondike Express with riders and the general public.

Hearings will be held Tuesday, June 8, at 1:00PM and 5:30PM, at the Klondike Branch of the Tippecanoe County Public Library, 3062 Lindberg Road, West Lafayette.

Interested persons may make comment regarding this issue at the meeting. Those unable to attend may send comments to CityBus's Development Manager by e-mail, by calling (765) 423-2666, or in writing prior to June 15, 2010, to Development Manager, CityBus, P.O. Box 588, Lafayette, Indiana 47902-0588.

Main Street Closure Means Saturday Detours

Main Street will be closed between 2nd and 11th streets from 4PM to 1AM on Saturday for Mosey Down Main St. Cross traffic will be allowed at 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 9th streets. Buses and trolleys will detour around the closures as follows:

• 1A Market Square, evening inbound route, will use Ferry St. instead of Main.
• 3A Lafayette Square, will use Columbia St. instead of Main.
• Wabash Trolley, follow 11th to left on Ferry, left on 3rd, resume route at Main St.

Mosey Down Main Street will be held also on June 12, July 10, August 14, and September 4th. The same detours will be in effect on those dates.
