The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is patching and resurfacing State St. in West Lafayette, which is causing a major traffic disruption that affects regular route and Campus Loop buses serving the area. The project is delaying most routes on campus and is also making it impossible to serve many bus stops in the construction zone.
Generally, if the right traffic lane is closed and the bus is unable to pull to the curb, riders should consider the stop closed and should find the nearest available stop. Unfortunately, INDOT's lane closures are intermittent, which means that CityBus's ability to serve stops along State St. is inconsistent. This makes it very difficult for CityBus customers and bus operators alike.
CityBus sincerely apologizes to our riders for this challenging situation, and we thank you for your extreme patience during the project. For best results, we recommend that riders avoid using bus stops along State St. if possible.
